The Deliberate Week

What is this?

The film · 2 minutes · captions, no sound needed

You run real things all day — projects, people, deadlines. Then you come home to the life that's actually yours, and it runs on memory and willpower and a drawer of apps that don't talk to each other. The Deliberate Week is a calmer way: see where you stand, set a direction, run one deliberate week, and keep what matters in one private place. Its tools grow more useful as your own record grows. No streaks, no scores, nothing to fall behind on — just structure, and the calm that comes with it.

Here's the whole method, and everything inside it. ↓

Most of us run complex things at work — then come home and run our actual lives on memory and willpower. The Deliberate Week is a calmer way. One quiet place to get everything out of your head, run each week on purpose, set systems up once, and keep the record of your life. No streaks. No scores. Nothing to fall behind on. Just structure — and the calm that comes with it.

Run what is real

A week, a day, and the things around them

Your Week closes into the Ledger. Today lays the same plans, appointments, anchor, and dated Kit steps out in time order. Four calm tools reflect capacity, your floor, life-admin load, and record readiness — time, structure, and readiness only, never money advice.

Plan an occasion

Free Playbooks, or the whole plan

Occasions brings the free event and trip Playbooks together with the Gold Occasion Planner, which builds a tailored timeline, checklist, supplies, invitation, and day-of view on top of the matching Playbook.

Keep time close

Calendar & Reminders

See dated items in a day, week, or month grid, or add the private calendar feed to the calendar you already use, with alarms. Push and email reminders are free; paid text reminders are rolling out. On iPhone, add the app to your Home Screen for the most app-like experience.

The Executive Dashboard

Platinum brings your brief, Weekly Hub, calendar, projects, follow-ups, systems, growth, captures, and archive into one tabbed command center. Every tab reads the feature that owns the information; it does not make a second copy.

The firewall

The app gives structure, never advice. When a need is medical, legal, financial, or otherwise regulated, it routes you to Find Help rather than pretending to answer.

A little about me

Malika Coleman is a financial services professional and the founder of The Well Designed Life Co. She builds practical structures for the work of running a life: seeing what is real, deciding what matters, and carrying a week without turning it into a performance. The Deliberate Week brings that operations lens into one calm, private place.

Why I built this

I'm Malika Coleman. I spent years building a career in financial service operations — the structure that keeps a business from running on luck — and then watched my own life run on exactly that: luck, memory, and Sunday-night dread. I was organized everywhere except the place that mattered most. The Deliberate Week came out of a stubborn belief: most of us don't need more motivation, and we don't need another app that shames us for missing a day. We need our lives to actually run — visibly, on purpose, one week at a time — with the same care we bring to work we'd never wing. So I built the thing I wanted: a calm place to see where you actually stand, design the week ahead, and keep a quiet memory of how your life has gone. No streaks. No scores. Nothing to fall behind on. And a firm line I won't cross — it gives you structure, never advice, and points you to a real professional when that's what you need. It's still early, and I'm building it in the open. If any of this sounds like your life, I'd love for you to try it.
