For routine care, vaccinations, spay or neuter, and anything to do with their health.

The American Animal Hospital Association lists practices that have met its accreditation standards.

Boarding, daycare and sitters
For the days you're away.
Pet Care Services Association members, via your vet
Most vets keep a list of boarding and daycare facilities they know locally — the plainest place to start.
Your state's licensing or inspection records
Many states license and inspect boarding kennels; the records are public and worth a look.
For an open-ended “find one near me,” ask the Apothecary — that's its job.
Grooming
For coats, nails, and the breeds that need regular work.
